COVID-19 Precautions

(Updated on July 31, 2020)

The Winterset Public Library is now open to the public Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon-6pm, and Fridays, noon-5pm. Curbside service will remain available M-F, 10am-close. The health and safety of our staff and patrons will continue to be our first priority.

Please note:

Patrons can put library materials on hold in these three ways:

Call us at 515-462-1731

Email us at library@winterset.lib.ia.us

Log into your account through our online library catalog at http://winterset.polarislibrary.com/.

We have extended the due dates on all items checked out before May to August 10. All items that check out from now on will be due back at their regular times (two weeks for books, one week for movies).

The outside library drop boxes are now open and checked on a daily basis.

Expiring library cards have been renewed. We have renewed all library cards so patrons will have access to digital materials. At this time we are not providing digital cards to those who do not have a library card. If anything changes we will announce through our Facebook page and website.  If you can’t remember your password for digital materials call us and we will reset it for you.

Digital Resources: If you have always wanted to try some of our digital resources now is the time! We offer a wide range of digital resources, including books, audiobooks, music, and magazines. Manage your account and download books, magazines, and more at www.wintersetlibrary.org

As you know this is a fluid situation. The Library and the City of Winterset are taking one day at a time and will continue to monitor all safety information from local, state, and national health officials. If there are any updates or changes to our services we will share through Facebook, and our website.
